How would someone have traveled by train from ATL to NYC ca 1919/1920?

Was there scheduled rail service? Length and cost of trip? Any good resources for period rail maps, etc?

Certainly there was service.
I believe the railroad of choice would've been the Atlantic Coast Line from Atlanta to Washington, DC.
From DC to New York, the Pennsylvania Railroad would've been the only choice into NYP.
If you wanted to go further north to Boston, a trip on the New Haven Railroad would be in order.
