Does Amtrak check ISIC student discount cards on the train?

In the eight times I've ridden with AAA/Student Advantage discounted tickets, no conductor has asked to check my AAA or SA card. I've ridden mostly in New England. Maybe a Drivers License, but never the discount card.



Just bring it, in case.

Only if it is marked in your ticket they do.



It says something such as:



Student Advantage Card & Photo ID Required.



If you don't have that in your ticket, then they won't ask at all.. but if you used your student discount, then they will ask for it.



In case you don't have it yet, print out the confirmation page or email and that works for 14 days until your card gets in the mail.
